Healthbank Consult is a revolutionary new way to provide Medicare funded consults using a state of the art video consulting service that has been locally built from the ground up for the medical community and patients. Using Healthbank Consult GPs, specialists and practice nurses are able to conduct secure video consultations that allow clinicians to retain information about a video consultation for auditing and patient safety purposes.  This allows clinicians to access the new Medicare telehealth item numbers.

Medicare provides a sign up payment of $4,800 per GP, specialist, Aged Care facilities and Aboriginal medical services when they conduct their first video consultation. Ongoing Medicare rebates are also available.

The consultations must take place between two Medicare registered healthcare providers with the patient attending at one end. The patient and healthcare provider (GP or practice nurse) also need to be located in an eligible area (outer urban or rural).
